Ad platform notes

What to keep in mind when writing creative that points at a game page, and where the responsibility sits.

Your ads are yours. The app does not review creative and cannot approve or reject it. A few things are worth knowing anyway.

Landing-page experience

Ad platforms judge the page your ad lands on. A game page is unusual enough that it is worth being deliberate:

  • Make the creative match the page. If the ad promises free gifts, the page should open with free gifts. Mismatch is the most common reason a landing page gets flagged.
  • Do not promise chance. Everything in Why there are no odds applies to your creative too. An ad that says “spin to win” pointing at a page that says “unlock your gifts” is inconsistent and reintroduces the exposure.
  • Keep the destination reachable. The logo on the board links through to your product page, so a shopper who does not want to play is never trapped.

Your pixel keeps working

The game page renders inside your theme on your own domain, so your pixel, consent banner and analytics fire there as they do anywhere else. You do not need a separate pixel setup, and a view of the game page is a normal pageview to your platform.

Tracking parameters

The game URL is an ordinary URL. UTMs and click IDs pass through and survive to the destination page, so your existing attribution keeps working.

Where responsibility sits

Compliance with each platform’s advertising policies is yours: creatives, targeting, claims, and the promotions rules of your market. Our terms say this plainly, and it is not fine print: you know your market and your platform’s history with your account, and we do not.
