Your data, and what happens when you uninstall
What we store, where it lives, and how erasure works.
Full detail is in the privacy policy. This is the summary that matters operationally.
What we store
Your campaigns and their styling, game sessions and the funnel events behind your analytics, your monthly view counter, and for attributed orders: the order identifier, its subtotal, and the gift value granted.
What we do not store
No shopper names, emails, phone numbers, addresses or IP addresses. The game page sets no cookies (Shopify strips them on app-proxy requests, so it cannot), uses no browser storage, and does not fingerprint devices. Each play is identified by a random token that identifies a play, not a person.
Where it lives
The app and its database run on Fly.io in the European Union (Paris).
Uninstalling
Uninstalling cancels your subscription immediately. Shopify sends us a deletion request and we erase your store’s data, including the access token, within 30 days.
Practical consequence: uninstall and your analytics history is gone. If you want the numbers, export them first.
What stays behind in your store: the discounts the app created and the gift-stack block in your theme. They stop doing anything once the app is gone, but they are your store’s objects, and Shopify does not let an uninstalled app clean them up. Remove them manually if you want a tidy admin.
Reinstalling
A fresh start: no campaigns, no history. Within the 30-day window before erasure completes we may be able to recover a store’s data. Email us before reinstalling, not after.
Shopper data requests
If a shopper asks a merchant to see or delete their data, that request reaches us through Shopify’s official channel and we act on it within 30 days. Shoppers should contact the store they bought from, since under GDPR the merchant is the data controller.
