When a campaign pauses itself
A live campaign that stops being publishable is paused, traffic is parked on the product page, and you get an email.
A live campaign is re-validated every time it is saved, and gift availability is re-checked over time. If it can no longer run as configured, the app pauses it rather than letting it run broken.
What happens
- The campaign moves to Paused.
- Its game URL starts sending shoppers straight to the destination product page. No error page, no dark page. Ads still pointing at that URL keep converting, without the game.
- You get an email: “[Campaign] was paused”, with the reason.
- The dashboard shows the campaign as paused with the same reason.
Common reasons
- A gift product went out of stock, was archived, or was deleted. See a gift is unavailable.
- Copy was edited and now contains a blocked word.
- A plan change reduced your campaign limit.
Getting it live again
Fix the reason and publish again. Nothing is lost: styling, gifts, slug, analytics and the game URL all stay exactly as they were.
Traffic still hitting a paused game
If a paused campaign keeps receiving significant traffic, you get a second email: “Traffic is still hitting a paused game”. That means live ad spend is landing on a parked URL. Fix and republish, or repoint the ads.
