Fonts

Set the headline, subheader and body typefaces independently, or upload your own font file.

Type is where a page stops looking generic. The app gives you three independent slots.

Three slots

  • Headline: the big line at the top of the board
  • Subheader: the line under it
  • Body: everything else: card labels, progress text, the button

Each takes a different family, so you can pair a display face with a clean body face the way your brand does elsewhere. Each also has its own weight control.

The font list

A curated set of Google fonts, loaded only when you actually select one. Picking “theme” instead inherits whatever font your storefront theme already uses, which is often the right answer and costs nothing to load.

Uploading your own

If your brand font is not in the list, upload it: WOFF2, WOFF, TTF or OTF, up to 5 MB. It appears in all three dropdowns under its filename, so you can use it for the headline and something else for the body.

The file goes to your own Shopify Files library. Removing it also clears it from any slot that was using it, so you cannot end up with a board referencing a font that no longer exists.

Licensing is yours to check. Many licences allow desktop use but not web embedding. Uploading a font here serves it to shoppers’ browsers, which is web embedding.

Plan gate

Font control needs a paid plan. Free-plan boards use your theme’s fonts. This is a merchant-tooling gate, not a shopper-experience one: the board still looks coherent on the free plan, it just inherits rather than chooses.
